The scan creates detailed images of the inner structures of the neck, including bones, soft tissues, nerves and disks. MRI neck is done to evaluate symptoms such as neck pain, weakness in the arms/legs, or lumps felt in the neck. A contrast agent is used for better visualization of the neck tissues.
